Satellite Tracked Vulture Movements 14 – 21 May 2017

The latest movements of our Bearded Vultures; Jeremia, Pharaoh, InkosiYeentaka, Lehlwa, Mac, Kloutjie, Camo and Mollie and our Cape Vulture; Bennie for the past week, that are fitted with satellite transmitters and included in our monitoring program.

Bennie has extended his movements even further this week and is now exploring the southern Free State. The Cape Vulture breeding season has started, therefore one would expect Bennie to be closer to home.  Meet the vultures included in the project

Satellite Tracked Vulture Movements 08 – 15 May 2017

The latest movements of our Bearded Vultures; Jeremia, Pharaoh, InkosiYeentaka, Lehlwa, Mac, Kloutjie, Camo and Mollie and our Cape Vulture; Bennie for the past week, that are fitted with satellite transmitters and included in our monitoring program.

Despite the cold, rain and snow the birds still seems to be active this past weekend. Bennie extended his movements into southern Lesotho this week and Camo is exploring KwaZulu-Natal.
