There are many ways that you can get involved with  and support the project activities. In doing so, you are contributing to the saving  of our indigenous vulture species.

 

The Endangered Wildlife Trust has set out how you can contribute to the raptor monitoring and conservation activities of the Bird of Prey Working Group. Check out the document here.

Actions such as the establishment of vulture restaurants, monitoring, reports of re-sightings, nest monitoring and reporting  and tag identifications are central to the project.

Just as importantly, reporting of dead vultures to relevant authorities enhances the knowledge of population trends and mortality rates. The more that we know of causes of mortality, such as road, fence, powerline or poisoning related fatalities, the more we can do to protect our vultures from these threats.
