The latest movements of our remaining tracked vulture; Bearded Vulture, Mollie, for the past week, that is fitted with a satellite transmitter and included in our monitoring programme.
Unfortunately a survey of Mollie’s nest last week revealed no activity on the nest where there should have been a large chick ready to fledge within the next month. Nests in the Eastern Cape, on the other hand, revealed a larger number of chicks than expected. See the below photo of one of the Eastern Cape nests with an adult and chick on the nest platform.
